This Marketplace & Services Policy governs how buyers and sellers use Locvia to list, discover, and transact locally, how Customers and Service Providers use Locvia to request and offer Local Services, and sets out the items, services, and conduct that are prohibited on the Service. It is incorporated by reference into our Terms & Conditions. Locvia is a technology platform that connects nearby users; we are not a party to any transaction or service arrangement and do not guarantee the outcome of any listing, Service Request, or job.

A

— SELLER POLICY (Marketplace)

A.1 Listing Accuracy

Sellers must post listings that accurately describe the item or service, its condition, price, and any material defects. Photographs must genuinely represent the item being sold; using stock photos or images of a different item to misrepresent condition or authenticity is prohibited and may be treated as fraud under Part D.

A.2 Pricing

Sellers set their own prices. Locvia does not verify, endorse, or guarantee that any listed price reflects fair market value. Bait-and-switch pricing — advertising an item at one price with no intention of selling at that price — is prohibited.

A.3 Availability and Fulfillment

Sellers should mark a listing as sold or remove it promptly once an item is no longer available, to avoid misleading buyers. Repeated failure to honor agreed transactions, or failure to disclose known issues, may result in reports and enforcement action under our Report & Enforcement Policy.

B

— BUYER POLICY (Marketplace)

B.1 Due Diligence

Buyers are solely responsible for inspecting items, verifying seller claims, and satisfying themselves as to the suitability, safety, and legality of any purchase before completing a transaction. Locvia does not inspect, certify, or guarantee any listed item.

B.2 Respectful Conduct

Buyers must not use in-app chat to harass sellers, make bad-faith offers intended to waste a seller's time, or repeatedly cancel agreed meetings without reasonable notice. Abusive conduct toward sellers is subject to reporting and enforcement under our Report & Enforcement Policy.

B.3 Payment Responsibility

Locvia does not currently process or guarantee payments between users, for marketplace items or Local Services. Buyers who choose to make advance payments to a seller before receiving or inspecting an item do so entirely at their own risk. See Part D (Fraud and Scam Prevention) for guidance on recognizing high-risk payment requests.

C

— PROHIBITED ITEMS AND SERVICES

The following items, services, and content may not be listed, offered, sold, requested, or exchanged on Locvia under any circumstances. This list is illustrative and not exhaustive; Locvia may remove any listing or Service Request that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be unsafe, unlawful, or inappropriate for the platform.

  • Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, or components designed to convert an item into a weapon.
  • Illegal drugs, narcotics, or controlled substances, and any paraphernalia primarily intended for illegal drug use.
  • Alcohol and tobacco products, where prohibited by applicable state or national law, or where the seller cannot verify the buyer's legal age.
  • Counterfeit or unauthorized replica goods bearing another party's trademark or branding.
  • Stolen property, or property for which the seller cannot demonstrate lawful ownership.
  • Live animals sold in violation of applicable wildlife protection, animal welfare, or import/export law; endangered species and their parts under any circumstance.
  • Human organs, blood, bodily fluids, or any content related to organ trafficking.
  • Government-issued identification, currency, postage, or documents, real or replica.
  • Recalled products, hazardous chemicals, and items posing a serious risk of injury.
  • Sexually explicit content or services, including any content involving minors (see our Community Guidelines, Section 4, for our zero-tolerance CSAM policy).
  • Any Local Service that legally requires a professional license, permit, or certification that the Service Provider does not hold (for example, certain electrical, gas, or structural work in your jurisdiction).
  • Any Local Service request soliciting work on gas lines, structural/load-bearing modifications, or electrical mains work beyond what is customarily performed by a general household electrician, unless the Service Provider holds the specific certification legally required.
  • Any item or service that is illegal to sell, own, request, or use under the law of India or the buyer's, seller's, Customer's, or Service Provider's jurisdiction.
D

— FRAUD AND SCAM PREVENTION

D.1 Common Scam Patterns

Be cautious of listings, Service Requests, or messages that: request payment before any in-person meeting, inspection, or start of work; pressure you to act urgently or bypass normal caution; offer prices significantly below market value with vague justification; ask you to communicate or pay outside the app immediately after first contact; or request sensitive personal, banking, or OTP information under any pretext. Locvia will never ask you to share your OTP with another user — OTPs are used solely for account login.

D.2 Reporting Fraud

If you suspect a listing, Service Request, or user is engaged in fraud, use the in-app "Report" feature immediately and avoid further engagement with the suspected account. Locvia may suspend accounts exhibiting patterns consistent with fraud, including rapid account creation, repeated reports from multiple independent users, or known scam indicators, pending investigation.

D.3 Money Laundering and Suspicious Activity

Locvia prohibits the use of the Service to facilitate money laundering or the transfer of illicit proceeds. We reserve the right to report suspicious activity to relevant authorities, including under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (India), where applicable to our operations.

E

— MARKETPLACE SAFETY

E.1 Meeting in Person for Item Exchanges

When meeting another user to complete a marketplace transaction, we strongly recommend: meeting in a well-lit, public place such as a market, mall, or police station "safe exchange" zone where available; bringing a friend or family member; meeting during daylight hours where possible; and never sharing your home address before establishing trust with the other party. For guidance specific to Local Services conducted at your home, see Part G.4 and our Safety Center.

E.2 Personal Information

Never share your OTP, bank account details, card numbers, passwords, or government ID numbers with another user through Locvia chat. Locvia's in-app chat is designed to keep your phone number private from other users — you should not need to share it to complete a transaction or a service booking.

E.3 Minors

Locvia is intended for users 18 years and older. If you are meeting another user in person, or having a Service Provider visit your home, we recommend that any accompanying minors remain under adult supervision at all times.

F

— SERVICE PROVIDER POLICY

F.1 Independent Status

As set out in our Terms & Conditions, Section 3A, every Service Provider is an independent individual, not an employee or agent of Locvia. You are solely responsible for the quality, safety, legality, and timeliness of the work you perform, and for holding any license or certification legally required to perform it.

F.2 Accurate Quotes

When responding to a Service Request, provide a genuine, good-faith price estimate based on the Customer's description. If, after inspecting the job in person, the actual scope of work requires a different price, use the in-app price change request feature and clearly explain the reason — do not demand a different amount verbally without going through this process, as doing so undermines the transparency this feature is designed to provide.

F.3 Attendance and Punctuality

Once you accept a Service Request or a Customer accepts your Quote, you are expected to attend at the agreed time or communicate promptly if you are delayed or unable to attend. Repeated failure to show up after accepting a job ("no-show") is tracked by Locvia and may result in reduced visibility, warnings, or suspension under our Report & Enforcement Policy.

F.4 Professional Conduct

You are expected to conduct yourself professionally and respectfully while communicating with, and while present at the residence or premises of, a Customer. Harassment, intimidation, theft, property damage, or any unlawful conduct while performing Local Services will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.

F.5 Prohibited Practices

You may not: perform work you are not competent or legally licensed to perform; misrepresent your experience, qualifications, or business name; solicit Customers to bypass the platform for future direct bookings in a manner intended to avoid Locvia's safety and reporting tools; or charge for work not actually performed.

G

— SERVICE CUSTOMER POLICY

G.1 Accurate Requests

When posting a Service Request, describe the issue as accurately as possible, including relevant photos where helpful. This allows Service Providers to give you a realistic Quote and reduces the likelihood of price changes once work begins.

G.2 Timely Responses

Please respond to Quotes in a timely manner. If you no longer need the service, cancel your Service Request rather than leaving it unanswered, so Service Providers are not left waiting unnecessarily.

G.3 Fair Consideration of Price Changes

If a Service Provider requests a price change after inspecting the actual job, review the stated reason in good faith. You are never obligated to approve a price change and may decline and end the engagement at no cost if you believe the request is unreasonable — but repeated bad-faith rejection of legitimate price changes, or repeated cancellation of jobs after a Service Provider has already traveled to your location, may be reviewed under our Report & Enforcement Policy.

G.4 Safety During Home Visits

Because Local Services often involve a Service Provider visiting your home, we recommend: confirming the Service Provider's name matches their in-app profile before allowing entry; having another household member present where possible, particularly for first-time bookings; keeping valuables secured; and using in-app chat, rather than sharing personal contact details, for all service-related communication. See our Safety Center for a complete list of home-visit safety tips.

G.5 Payment

As set out in our Terms & Conditions, Section 6B, all payment for Local Services occurs directly between you and the Service Provider, outside the platform. We recommend confirming the total amount before work begins and avoiding full payment in advance of work being completed, where practical.

•

Enforcement

Violations of this Marketplace & Services Policy will be handled in accordance with our Report & Enforcement Policy, and may result in listing or Service Request removal, warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination, depending on severity and recurrence.
